<div>Mila kam mit einem seltenen Gendefekt zur Welt, der die Entwicklung ihres Kopfes und Schädels stark beeinträchtigt. Schon im ersten Lebensjahr musste sie neun große Operationen überstehen – und doch hat sie nie aufgehört zu kämpfen. Heute besucht sie mit Freude die Schule, liebt ihre kleine Schwester und gibt ihrer Familie jeden Tag neue Kraft.

<div>Nun steht Mila erneut vor einem sehr schweren Eingriff: Ihr Gesicht und Schädel wachsen nicht mit, sodass ihr Gesicht zum zweiten Mal chirurgisch nach vorne verlagert werden muss. Die Operation ist hochkomplex und die anschließende Heilungsphase intensiv und lang. Mila braucht in dieser Zeit die Nähe ihrer Eltern und ihrer Schwester mehr denn je.

<div>Die Spezialklinik liegt 200 Kilometer von ihrem Zuhause entfernt. Für Wochen wird die Familie dort sein müssen – vereint, um Mila Halt und Sicherheit zu geben. Unterkunft, Verpflegung und der Ausfall der Arbeitszeit stellen eine große zusätzliche Belastung dar, die die Familie allein tragen muss.
