Mikie Lightning needs our help!

Donation protected
By now many of you have heard my brother Mikie was in a pretty terrible skydiving accident.  He got away with his life, but suffered a broken femur and a crushed ankle. No internal bleeded was found and not too many scrapes and cuts externally.

He said he swooped down and miscalculated how high he was.  He hit the ground at about 40-45mph.  Luckily he hit grass and not concrete or I would be telling a different story.  He actually intended to land on water, but that didn't happen.

We are all grateful and thankful and know he is lucky to be alive.

He was air lifted to the trauma center in Memphis, TN which was near the jump site, but a bit far from his home in Louisville, KY.  He had friends with him, so they took care of his things and his beloved dog Tiger who was, of course, with him to watch his dad jump.

They did one of what looks to be many surgeries on Mikie to put a metal rod in Mikie's femur and repair that leg.  His ankle was too swollen to operate, so they needed to hold off on that repair.

Without the use of his legs, Mikie will not be able to walk or work for some time (one of his main sources of income is he drives for Lyft, so that is obviously out).  The doctors are saying it could be as long as 6 months.

We need help raising money for his monthly living expenses and when the medical bills start pouring in, for the 30% co-pay that he needs for the out-of-pocket expense.

He is due to graduate from University of Louisville in December, so we really want to do whatever we can to help him recover and make this happen.

Without the burden of stress on how to pay his bills, we are certain, he will be able to heal more quickly.

Anyone who loves Mikie and/or loves skydiving, we are hoping you can do what you can to help.  We always hope if we were in the same situation, someone would do the same for us or our loved ones.

Any amount is more than Mikie has now, so thanks ahead for reading our story and helping my little brother out.  He is an amazing guy as so many of you know.
