Mikhail Lucky McBride

Mikhail went into the ER last week because of fluid loss from having diarrhea for a month.  We did some scans to find out what could cause it.  They found a large tumor in the lung and metastasis in the liver.  We're looking at a very poor outcome and end of life discussions.  He is not eligible for chemo with his current health status.  He's in a downward spiral, and we're not going to have a good opportunity to get him better.  Basically the tumor is causing the diarrhea, but we can’t do chemo until his diarrhea stops.  Even if it does, the window for treatment is slim since the tumor is growing so aggressively.  The diarrhea is causing him to go into kidney failure.  He is not awake and alert enough for visitors.  I’m thinking he’ll have just a few more days to a week.  If we can’t get him better, then we’re going to ease him out as peacefully as we can.

Mikhail has limited insurance and we know his medical bills will be extensive. Every donation will help us, Melissa Derr (spouse) and Erika Gorhum (sister), pay for Mikhail's treatment and memorial service and is greatly appreciated.
