Mike's Big Heart

Last Fall my cousin was coughing and couldn't sleep for several weeks.  Mike has been in and out of the hospital several times for days on end.  We found out that a virus attacked his heart and is in need of a new one.  He works for my company and has not been able to work for several months.  We met with the transplant team in Tampa (which is one of the best in the country) and they are running further tests next week before they put him on the transplant list.  This could take up to 6 months before he is on that list.  

As the title states Mike would help out anyone in need and give the shirt off his back.  Never to judge anyone and help them in any way he can is what defines him.  He is very proud and would never want me to do this but it is a long process and unfortunately the bills are piling up.  Insurance only covers so much and the bills are already very significant.  This journey will be tough but he has an excellent support team that will be with him throughout.  We hope over the next year we can find a donor.  This too will add to the cost for anti-rejection drugs.  We are looking at all programs right now to assist, but as many of you know this can be a very arduous process.  Any help is greatly appreciated!  I will make sure to post updates as to his progress.  Much love!
