Mike's Do or Die Promise to Mary

God bless you all!  I'm Mike Dallen.   I was 13  when I first heard the message of Fatima, and it spoke to my heart.  I promised God I would build Mary a Rosary Chapel.

Years passed.  I served our country in the army, met and married the love of my life, and fathered 5 children.  We moved from Iowa - through Arizona to Washington, and ended up living in a beautiful Swiss-like valley just outside Spirit Lake, Idaho.  Finally it was time to get serious about my life long promise to Mary.  I wasn't getting any younger.

My friend at the time was an old Swiss-descendant priest.  He was living in the same valley as he said, more-or-less  as  a hermit in the Immaculate Heart of Mary.   If luck is preparation meeting opportunity, I sure got lucky in my last move.  I had the promise and the old priest owned land in the valley and needed a Chapel.  After 50 years,  I was ready to make good on my promise -  in the Selkirk Mountains of North Idaho.

That's where the old red barn had stood for 50 years.  I knew I could save it from giving up the ghost to the strong southeasterly winds that blow through the valley.  My promise  Chapel wound be humble in origin but grand in its completion.  The old hermit would see to that.  He reminded me often,  "When you build, let it be forever - for Mary's little children."

And we built!  For 20 years we built, facing a lack of workers, materials,
time, money and advancing years but never a lack of desire.  A promise made is a Chapel built.  Mary's honor  is at stake, and the old hermit's dream must be fulfilled during the spring and summer of 2020.  He is a cancer survivor, living on the road of borrowed time.

Me too!  I'm now 79 and pretty crippled up.  A recent back operation left me with no feeling in my legs.  The old hermit and I travel the same road, forging forward.  My promise to God in honor of May must be fulfilled or I'll die building.  Though we build forever, your help is needed now - before it is too late.

Share with us your prayers and dollars.  God will bless forever any amount given in Mary' honor.  Our need is $100,000. and for a donation of $500. Mary will see that you receive a handmade "Golden Ave" Rosary.  I'll see that the old hermit prays for you.  That's about all he's good for these days - me too.

God, His Mother, and all of us together, under the watchful eye of St. Joseph, will do this thing!

Come to the valley in spirit and help us complete our Rosary Chapel to Mary.
