Michael Yen Eagle Scout Project

My name is Michael Yen a life scout from Troop 5 Pasadena at Polytechnic School. I am preparing to complete my eagle project. The plan is to rebuild and replace a foot bridge on the historic Rubio Canyon Trail including reforming the creek bed and trail clearing before and after the bridge. The bridge will require complete replacement including new concrete foundations, new beams, floor, and railing. We will also be restoring the area under the bridge to prevent erosion and the trails to and from the bridge.
The project will take place this coming Labor Day weekend, September 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. The bridge is about 500ft from the Rubio Canyon Trailhead located at 3514 Rubio Vista Rd Altadena, California.
The cost my project is $3,000 which will include all materials, tools, supplies, and food & water. All extra unspent money will be donated to the Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy.
