Michael J Wilson Memorial Scholarship
Mike was a 1998 graduate of Pal-Mac High School in Palmyra, NY, and went on to earn a B.S. in Economics from the University of Delaware. This led to a successful financial career which spanned Wall St., San Francisco, Rochester, NY, and Pittsburgh, PA. It was in Pittsburgh where he tragically passed away from Septic Shock stemming from Pneumonia on October 3, 2015.
Mike had an undeniable presence, electrifying any room he entered. People gravitated to him. Mike nevertheless knew a stranger; everyone he encountered was a friend. Not just in passing, but forever. Mike’s powerful and energetic personality left an impression on every person he met.
Today we hope to pass that impression on to another generation of Pal-Mac students by establishing the Michael J Wilson Memorial Scholarship through Dollars for Scholars. This fund will be awarded to a deserving Pal-Mac graduate, with a focus on those in financial need. In the event that fundraising exceeds our goal, the money may be split equally into multiple scholarships. This campaign will run through February 17, 2018.
This is a great opportunity to support the community, honor the memory of a loved alumnus, and provide a promising student(s) with additional financial help that could make all the difference in their path ahead.
