My grandfather is an amazing person. He has always been there for me and now I want to try to help him through this hard time.
I'll start by telling you a little about, well, Everything. My grandpa built his house, all of it, little by little with his own two hands, throughout my entire life. A cabin in the mountains, a hard working man, living with nature. Generators ran his power. The wood burning stove in the picture provided his heat, And he got his water from a natural spring. It was just that peaceful relaxing place to go and feel comfortable and at home... many kids and grandkids can attest to that... Simply waking up and drinking his coffee while watching that beautiful colorado sunrise on his porch was what he loved the most. He is loving and caring, and always taught me to help people. He really is that person that would give the shirt off his back or his last 5 dollars if he could help you.

Though we hoped this fire would miss his house, it didn't. He lost everything.

For the second time. He lost his home in 88. When he lived at Saint Mary's Alice. When my mom was 16.

We Thank God he made it out with his dogs and an arm full of photo albums.

He never really asks for much but if I can start a small fund to eventually get him materials for a new home. Or into a new home that's all I can ask. If you can spare anything for him please help. Every cent counts at this point.
Thank you for your time.
I love you grandpa. I'm so sorry this happened.
