Our Story: Our beloved Mike Ruff encountered a massive heart and lung issue on Thursday, August 2nd and was transported via life flight from Great Falls, MT to Seattle, WA.
Mike’s initial prognosis was grim, however thanks to his local EMT’s, nurses and doctors as well as his incredible medical team at the University of Washington Medical Center he continues to improve each and every day.
Today, day 9 in his recovery, he remains in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. We anticipate Mike will remain in Seattle for a period of time, but look forward to his steady rehabilitation.
Mike is an amazing and generous soul. His passion for making people smile from ear to ear is infectious. Many times he has mentioned how rewarding it is to see these children smile when they see his friendly face. The countless children he has interacted with truly bring him great joy.
Mike also has a big heart for his family, including, his brothers and sisters as well as his extended family across the United States.
How Funds Will Be Used: Funds raised will assist Mike with his impending and future needs allowing him to focus on a full recovery.
Mike has medical insurance, however we do anticipate his medical bills to be exponential.
We truly appreciate the outpouring of support and prayers as well as requests on how our friends and family can help which is why we have started this funding page.
