Mike Porter, age 47, a loving father to 5 young children (Chase, Sierra, Sienna, Savannah, and Saige) and a wonderful husband to Stacy was suddenly taken from his family just 7 days before Christmas. Mike was diagnosed with multiple myeloma last summer and passed away at the City of Hope on December 18.
Mike had an easy smile and made friends wherever he went. His sense of humor and warmth set you at ease immediately. What was apparent was how much he loved his family and how much he really wanted what was best for them.
I've known the Porters for several years and coach Sienna's basketball team. All funds raised will go directly to Stacy to help her carry on with the task of raising these 5 beautiful kids here in Irvine.
