As many of you know, earlier this month, my brother Mike was involved in a horrible car accident that has left him immobile; without the use of his arms and legs. His recovery will be long and difficult, but because of his raw strength and the support of his family and friends, I am confident he will make a reasonable recovery. Many have reached out and offered your willingness to help, and this is very much appreciated. You can help Mike immediately by implementing three actions:

Visit: I encourage you to visit Mike at Genesis West Hospital, located in Davenport, Ia., where he is working tirelessly at the physical rehabilitation unit toward a life of independence. When you visit, please ask a nurse or doctor what you can do to move his arms, legs fingers and toes, that hopefully, in time, will help lead to his recovery. Any stimulation spiritual and physical, will immensely help Mike now. He WILL NOT turn down your willingness to move or touch him. He will simply say “it needs to be done.”


Donate: Without hyperbole, Mike would literally give his last shirt or dollar to anyone that needed a helping hand. Ask anyone that actually knows him. If the old adage of ‘what comes around, goes around,’ is true, Mike should not have a problem with help during his recovery. All donations will go directly to aiding in Mike’s recovery.
