Mike Morgan will never be forgotten

Well, let me start by saying, if you clicked this link, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I grew up with the Morgans. I met Joie in kindergarten which was quite a while ago, I don't want to age myself, so we'll leave it at that. Mike was always like a second father to me. He was an amazing man and someone I really loved to be around. He was so dedicated to his family and people in general. A caring man is a complete understatement. If you knew him even a little bit, you know I speak the truth. He took in people that didn't have homes, he fed  the hungry and would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He was cheerful and jolly and just had such a warm hearted spirit around him all the time. He was sweet and inviting. You never felt unwelcome at his home.

A word from Joie:

"My Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2010. While they were mapping his radiation, they found a tumor on his lungs which ended up growing quickly, so in order to cure the lung cancer they removed his lungs. He finished radiation on his prostate cancer. 6 months later he started having trouble eating, back to the doctor, they found he had esophageal cancer.  More radiation and chemo. This shrunk the tumor. He was doing good and was finally able to eat. Then within 6 months, it was back and much more aggressive. My Dad who has always been 250 to 300 lbs started dropping weight rapidly.  He seemed to still be doing good he was working on his boat like always, talking about getting it in the water and fishing one last time. He was cleaning up the yard and doing things around the house with the purpose of getting things in order for my mom who also suffers from numerous health conditions.

On August 3rd. He fell out of bed. He was taken to the hospital and they found he was bleeding from the tumor. There was a tear, likely caused by the stent that use to be there. He was bleeding to death. They tried blood transfusions but could not stablize his blood pressure or stop the bleeding. It was a horrific thing to go watch him go through. He was a mere 120 pounds when he passed.

Although my mom is working, they do not have the money saved or needed to pay for a proper burial for my dad. Us kids have moved in to help mom with things around her".

Please consider donating to help the family with these expenses that they so dearly need. No donation is too small. Mike would do it for every single one of us, it's our turn to give back to him. He deserves a proper burial. I am thoroughly saddened that we are even doing this as no one wanted him to pass.

Thank you SOOOOO much from myself and the Morgans for your kind thoughts, prayers and donations. We can't begin to explain how much it means to us all that you even took the time to read this campaign. Please feel free to leave a supportive note of condolence for the family as they will check this page as often as possible in the midst of this all.
