Mike Krieger's Medical Expenses

Hello Everyone!

I am writing this on behalf of Mike Krieger, a Paramedic who contracted Fungal Meningitis, possibly in the line of duty as a Paramedic; and his family.
As many know, Mike was recently diagnosed with Fungal Meningitis and was admitted to Kansas University Medical Center for therapy.  Mike was discharged Wednesday December 6th, 2017 after a week long stay in the neurological unit.  Insurance companies have fought and denied many claims for this life saving medication (Ambisome and Flucytosine) that he continues to need after discharge from hospital.  As of right now, the goals are for Mike to continue oral medications for approximately 6 weeks  and IV medications for 4 weeks.  This however, is not set in stone, and could be extended depending on his reaction and acceptance to the medications.   These medications are extremely expensive ($2000.00 daily x 6 weeks) and more than his family can handle alone.  
    At this time we would appreciate any help given to Mike and his family for obtaining these life-saving medications.  Mike and his wife, Linda are there to give the shirt off their backs and have donated to many organizations.  So I am asking for your help to donate. This has been a difficult time and financial burden on them.  We are also asking for prayers to get Mike back to the health he was prior to his illness. 
     I am a friend of the family but also have had the experience of having Mike as the Paramedic, when I called the ambulance during my time of need.  He is a very good person, as well as an outstanding Paramedic.  And sincerely wish to help them!
