My husband Mike continues to be wheelchair bound and while he has been approved for disability, it will not start until February 14, 2018. Unfortunately, this does not help us maintain our household right now and we are unable to make ends meet. We are still awaiting for Medicaid’s approval of benefits.
Since June we have had several repair issues with our home. Our plumbing problems alone have been almost $4,000 and we still have a lead under the house. Our most recent water bill was $460.11.
We also need a handicap ramp built onto the entrance of our home for Mike.
In addition, we are unsure on how we will be able to provide a Merry Christmas for our children.
I appreciate the monetary help as well as any other assistance we may be qualified to receive.
We are doing what we can to keep everything together for our family. Please – any amount would help.
Prior update- I am still asking for everyones help. My husband, Mike Hernandez, is still not able to walk or use his hands and his speech is still very impaired I had to quit working due to being told I made too much money for him to get the help he needs I dont want him to come home and see we lost all he had worked hard for I dont ask people for help but my husband isnt able to so I am asking for the both of us and for our children until he can get back home and I can go back to work . He had to have surgery on his neck and spine and he currently doesn't have the use of his arms or his legs. He also had a brain bleed that thankfully stopped on its own. However, this past Friday, July 21st he suffered a stroke while they were turning him in his hospital bed. He was rushed into surgery which saved his life again. He has such a long road ahead of him with recovery and rehabilitation and not knowing if he will ever be able to run and play with his kids again. We have 3 children - Samantha, 18, Mia, 11, and Michael Shane, 6, so I am asking for everyone's help. Please contact me on Facebook if you have any questions.Thank u for your time and support. God Bless.
