Our friend Mike Heinz fell 30ft onto the cement along with the bucket off his tree trimming truck when the bolts holding the bucket arm to the truck sheared off. He was badly injured.
Mike broke his back, several ribs and the orbit around his eye was shattered. Needless to say, Mike won't be able to work for quite a while and the bills are piling up.
Mike Heinz and his wife Patti Heinz are pillars of the Fruita and Grand Junction communities who often volunteer time, services and items to charities including 4H, FFA, Mesa County Cattleman's Association and Mesa County Wool Growers - only to name a few.
They would never ask for help themselves, but they could sure use a little lift up from the community that they are always working to make into a better place. Please help them if you can - even $5 makes a difference when we all step up.
