Mike Chambers Needs Surgery

My name is Tyrel Chambers and I am writing for my father Mike Chambers who is in need of surgery and medical care to remove cancer on his kidney. Mike Chambers has always been full of life and loves people, he has never met a stranger and loves his family fiercely. Mike has always been a great father who is there for his children and family when they need him. People find Mike a joy to be around and are always smiling or laughing when they spend time with him. Mike lives in Blanco, TX with his wife Nelly and her daughter Star. He is also a grandfather. Mike is very passionate about his life long career as a farrier (Horseshoeing, Blacksmithing) and has always been willing to help people who are wanting to get into the craft. Mike has always been willing to help other farriers when they were in need, such as helping to cover their clientele and sending the farrier the money instead of keeping it for himself.
The surgery will be to remove the kidney that is affected with the cancer. The cancer has little chance of spreading if the affected part is removed. The insurance Mike has only covers 80% of the cost of surgery and he has been denied supplemental insurance because of the cancer he’s been diagnosed with. Mike needs $10,000.00 in order to receive the surgery and purchase the medication he needs to extend his life. The medication he needs will also be to get his body ready for surgery. He was recently diagnosed with having blood clots on his lungs and he needs blood thinners in order to get rid of the clots. Once he has gotten rid of the clots, he will be ready for surgery. Insurance will not cover the cost of this medication. He will not be able to afford the remaining cost of surgery, or the medicine and therapy needed afterwards to recuperate. Mike will also need funds for cost of living since he is self-employed and will not be able to work for four to six weeks. Although this is the same type of cancer that my mother had and eventually died from, the Surgeon is very confident Mike will have a complete recovery. The surgeon has assured him the cancer will not have any affect on his life span and he should be able to do all he is able to do now, if not more.
