Hi, my name is Debbie Goulding and I am Mike Reid's aunt.

On August 29 on Manitoulin Island, Michael and Ella Reid and two other minor children were involved in a boating accident. All parties suffered injuries. Ella sustained a broken nose, cut lip, fractured elbow, and a large gash across her belly and many bruises. Ella and another youth were transported by Orange helicopter to Sick kids Hospital in Toronto for their injuries. Ella underwent surgery on her belly to repair the gash and fix her liver and may face upcoming surgeries. The young boy involved sustained cuts and bruises and the other minor sustained bruises and a concussion. Mike sustained a dislocated shoulder and bruises. This family has endured 2 difficult tragedies in the last two years with a house fire two years ago. Mike will need to have time off from work to take Ella to her appointments in Toronto. The family appreciates any assistance. We are thankful as it could have been much worse. There were so many people involved and the family appreciates all the help and assistance they received from the folks at Mountainview Camp, owners Rob and Lianne, their family and camp guests.
