Mike Agoncillo

"To some of us, our friendship with Mike Agoncillo started in the early 1990s.  We have known Mike first to be an avid shooter, supplier of reloading materials, a chef, supportive and loving father and husband to his family, a very good poker player who bluffs his way to win the game every Saturday night after the NRG shooting matches.  Mike was always ready to give a helping hand whenever you ask him, and would go out of his way to deliver his commitment.  He was fondly known as uncle MIKE BBQ for his relentless commitment to serve the weekend IPSC shooters during the years at Norco Running Gun and years before that at Burro Canyon with his consistently delicious pork bar-b-que, hot spicy links, cold drinks and chicken arroz-caldo.  Mike also served NRG’s special matches with his home-cooked food catering to the events after the shooting matches.  There was a time Mike retired from IPSC shooting and got hooked to playing golf before he and his wife Vangie moved to Las Vegas to be near their son Mikey.  That was the time he retired from being uncle MIKE BBQ.  Meeting old friends in Las Vegas, he eventually went back to IPSC shooting with Tropang Vegas, and was a dedicated member of the club.  Mike was with us at Route 66 Shooting Sports Park a few times.  During the Tropang Vegas club match in July this year, Mike shot his final match.  Mother nature’s heat wave caught up with him that day, and he never recovered until his demise.  Farewell dear friend, we all had a wonderful ride with you all these years. Memories of you will remain with us forever. Rest in peace.  Your prayers and donations to Mike’s family are greatly appreciated."
