Mighty Mikey's courageous fight!

This is my son Mikey, he ended up with a staph infection that attacked his heart. It infected his bovine conduit causing  The doctors to have to do emergency surgery while the staph was running rampant in his body. It threw out micro clots causing massive damage to his feet and one finger. We have been in the hospital over a month now and the bacteria is still not gone. The cost of living in a hospital is growing greater than I can handle at this time. My husband has taken time off work to stand by us and be a rock during this distressing time in our live.  His insurance covers his bills as far as the hospital but as far as food and other necessities it does not cover those things . We would appreciate any help given and thank you In advance.

Update : It looks like a now he is losing his right foot  and some of his left foot. so our stay has been extended even more.

 Update as our story started on September 5 of 2017, but it has continued we are now in Spaulding rehab center in Charlestown Right outside of Boston. We have not been home in months we have been living in hospitals and rehabilitation centers and we are depending on the kindness of others to make ends  meet. Mikey is been doing wonderful he is now a double amputee he lost both feet due to the damage of the bacteria we do not know for sure how much longer this is going to take, or how long my it’ll be till my husband can go back to work.  I just want to thank those that have helped us in these trying times and pray soon things will get better and we will be home.

Update we have been release and now have finally came home but i fear our time at hospitals are not done. We will be going back  in about a month or so for more rehab. But for now we are home and will get to sleep in our own beds.

Update everyone thinks once your out of the hospitals things will get better well in some ways they do and in some ways they don't we are struggling to get ourselves out of the debt that comes from be with no income for so long. The cost of gas going back and forth to the specialist that see him every month is out of this world.
