Mighty Mac's Surgery

I adopted Mac six years ago from the Humane Society of South Central Michigan and it was love at first sight and snuggle. We estimate he's around 8-9 years old now. He came from an abusive environment, but has only known love ever since he came home with me. My little guy is a typical Pomeranian who has a lot to say about everything and adores his mama.

After weeks of testing (and lots of poo), we discovered this week that Mac's small intestines are inflamed and he is having major surgery to remove the inflamed portion and then sew it back together. Even with pet insurance through the ASPCA (which I highly recommend) and praying there are no post-surgery complications or additional surgeries needed, the vet bills are monumental. We will max out our single incident coverage, so the rest of the bills are on me. The current total is $6300, but our insurance will cover part of it. 

Mac's prognosis for recovery is good based on the initial pre-surgery tests and I'll post updates as I get them. Any help you are willing and able to provide, along with your prayers, is deeply appreciated. This little guy is such a special part of my family.
