Mid's Mum

Hi! I'm Jake, or Mid, or MidMakes, or MidwinterMakes. In January 2024 my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has been an absolute trooper for the last 6 months, undergoing a Lumpectomy, and is currently about halfway through her Chemotherapy treatment, with likelihood of Radiotherapy at the end. Due to reactions to the Chemo, as well as other minor health issues, she's been unable to work as often as she, or any of my family would like.

Through overtime at my own job, as well as attempting to take on more commission work, I've been trying to support my Mum, as well as the rest of my family financially during this difficult time. I never intended on making any of this information public, due to well, stubbornness. But unfortunately, it's left me financially, physically and mentally exhausted. Any funds donated will be used to continue supporting myself and my family during this time, towards food, transport and general day-to-day expenses. It goes without saying that my mum has been the best parent somebody could ask for. Supporting me when I was out of work, and now it's time I do the same for her <3.
