‘Midnight Stars’ is a go fund me page set up by local Lancashire Band, ‘Midnight XII’. Their new single ‘When The Shutters Are Down’ was released on 1st September 2020 to help raise awareness and funds for 'Midnight Stars' - a scheme (go fund me page) set up to help children of age 6 to 16 yrs within the Borough of Blackburn with Darwen that have had their Education effected by Coronavirus (COVID-19) to access private education to 'catch up' on school work.

your donations will help to support children to attend and receive expert one to one tuition that will help to secure their future.
Why we chose to set up and support this scheme: Corona-virus (COVID-19) has severely affected all of our lives and in particular, our children’s access to quality education. The pandemic resulted in worldwide school closures and many children were unable to access their day to day learning for up to 4 months. It is important that we take different approaches to attempt to minimise the lasting impact of the school closures on our future generation. Professor Francis Green recently stated, ‘The close of schools, and their only partial re-opening, constitute a potential threat to the educational development of a generation of children’. Let’s not allow this to be our children of Blackburn with Darwen.
Once sufficient funds are available to access - schools within Blackburn with Darwen can put forward children that are in need of additional support (supplementary to their schooling) that would benefit from the scheme, in order to assist them to achieve their potential and allow them to thrive in education. Each child will remain anonymous however 'Midnight Stars' will keep you updated when a child starts and also when they complete and where possible how the child benefited from the scheme. Any money transactions between 'Midnight Stars' go fund me page and the allocated Educational Centers will remain transparent and all invoices will be available for you to view here by clicking on the above photo/video link.
Please note our target is NOT set - it is an ongoing target which will allow us to release funds as soon as the minimum cost for one child to access the sessions is reached. Our first target is £275 to release the first child to commence lesson - then the target will reset to allow funds to build up for the next child and so on and so on...
