Midnight Rental

Hi everyone - my name is Laura and I created the video store 'Midnight Rental' to use as a set for my new show (also titled 'Midnight Rental'!) I have a love of VHS and previously worked at both Hollywood Video and Blockbuster for 5 years and wanted to create a late night horror host style show in a similar setting. Being that the set we built is at a private location and not a tv station, every piece of equipment from lighting to props to televisions is mine and things that I've purchased. We've poured every penny into making this set, and I am so proud of it! It definitely added up quickly, but I was happy to be able to execute my vision.

Last night, my 9 year old laptop finally but unexpectedly came to a fizzled end and went to the big hard drive pile in the sky. I can't edit the show without one and I unfortunately am completely tapped out of funds to properly pay for a new one. I am an artist without a trust fund, and I'm turning to the community and those who might enjoy a low-rent show set in a video store to help keep the lights on at 'Midnight Rental' - I want to share this with the world and the only way I'll properly be able to is with a new MacBook Pro that can handle a lot of video editing.
