Midge's Leg machine

As you know, Midge is very special  to all of us.  Her courage , resiliency and kindness has touches everyone she meets.    Midge has come through intense cancer treatment including radiation and chemo.  She has "beat" her cancer but there were costs to the treatment. The glands in one of her legs are permanently damaged.  The impact is that her leg expands with fluid, causing intense pain.  She tolerates it by taking pain killers.  But there is a piece of medical equipment that  acts as a pumpto push the fluids out of her leg.  Although it is temporary, it brings immediate relief.  She would need to have the treatment on a regular basis to live  relatively pain free but it is not possible, due to the costs.  She lives in Syracuse as you all know.  The pump , that she could use at home on a regular basis, costs approximately 1000.00.   If she could have access to this piece of equipment it would make a remarkable difference in her quality of life.

She has no idea that we are doing this for her.    It will be a Canadian gift to someone very special to all of us.  It would be wonderful if we could all come together,  and make this happen.    Any support,  big or small will make a difference.
