Micro Artist Grants for Groceries- Inspired by Bad News Days Theatre co. in Toronto.

As everyone knows, COVID - 19 has left many in a financially precarious position.
Artists are resourceful, creative individuals but this pandemic has left them with little to no money for essentials. They feed our souls, let's feed them.
As Adam Paolozza stated when he started this initiative in Toronto: Government aid is coming but it's still unclear about when, who exactly qualifies, and how these resources will be disseminated.
The arts community in Ottawa is strong and has never shied away from helping others, so let's help them now. We're looking to ease some stress by administering micro grants for artists to buy groceries and essentials.
How It Works:
Artists from any discipline can request a one time, no questions asked, micro grant of $75 for groceries, food, and essentials. All identities will be kept in the strictest confidence.
Grants will be first come, first served and we'll keep giving them out for as long as the money lasts.
To apply, simply send an email to [email redacted]
All you have to do: identify that you are an artist and an email address to send the e-transfer to. No questions. No rationale necessary.
If you're in a position to donate, please do. Even the smallest amount helps in a big way.
These small actions add up and can have a large impact on artists and their basic necessities during this scary time.
