Michelle's Japan Internship Fund

Hello! My name is Michelle and I am an Event Management major at Rosen College of Hospitality Management at UCF.

I have recently been given the opportunity of a lifetime.

I have applied for an internship in Okinawa, Japan and I WAS ACCEPTED!

This summer, from May 2015 until August 2015, I will be living in Okinawa, Japan working 9 hours a day, 5 days a week at the Kafuu Resort Fuchaku Condo.

I have never been so thrilled. This opportunity is going to change my life. Through this internship, I am going to learn incredible amounts of information about the hospitality industry as well as gain spectacular on-the-job experience. Also, because this internship is in a foreign country, I will be put to the test in adapting, being creative, and staying strong through awkward and intimidating situations. I also know my international experiences will translate into my career in the future.

Beyond work experience, I will also have the chance to explore and experience the incredible culture of Okinawa, Japan. This adventure will strengthen me as a person and expand my mind to understanding other cultures and ways of living.

I have created this funding page to hopefully raise a portion of the funds it will take for me to get to Japan and back. The flight itself is going to be incredibly expensive and I am working hard to save up beforehand. If you, or anyone you know, would like to help me on this journey, I appreciate anything you can spare!
