Friends and family, please assist Michelle Ramirez.
It is with deep regret that we are compelled to begin a GoFundMe fundraiser for our beloved Orthopaedic resident, Dr. Michelle Ramirez who sustained very serious injuries in a roll-over car crash on September 22nd, 2018. Michelle is currently receiving ICU care and has already undergone two major surgeries. She is expected to require numerous medical procedures, surgeries and rehabilitation before she can return to work.
Michelle has a long road to recovery and will be out of work/training for an indefinite period of time. While Michelle is here in Georgia for her residency training, her family lives in California and in Arizona. Her parents and sisters rushed to her bedside as soon as they heard the devastating news and will remain in Atlanta during her recovery which could be up to six months. Funds are needed to offset the cost of medical procedures and day-to-day expenses for her family to remain here during her recovery.
Michelle is a bright, vibrant young physician that we have had the privilege of working with over the last four years. She has given greatly to our community and has demonstrated her commitment to help others by her presence on mission trips to underdeveloped countries where she has played an integral role assisting with joint replacement surgeries for those lacking medical resources. We need Michelle back on our team and would appreciate all prayers and monetary contributions to support her recovery. It’s our time to show unwavering support for her.
