Michelle's Cancer Treatments

Michelle has stage 4 metastatic small cell cancer.  She started out with nine tumors on her  brain, three on her ribs, one on her lymph node in her neck, and one in her chest that was the size of a baseball. The one in her chest was on her lung and attached to her heart. Last April she was diagnosed and given six months to a year to live. Her treatment plan has been very aggressive. She has had two types of chemo both of which were the harshest available. Chemo has been working and been able to kill all but one of the tumors. However, doctors say that this type of cancer will come back and when it does, Michelle's body cannot handle chemo again. Immunotherapy or trials will be Michelle's next option. Michelle's insurance will not cover this and she has already used most of her savings for her previous treatments.

Michelle is such a warm person. She has a strong faith in God and believes He has given her this story for a reason. She is funny and kind. She is a loyal friend and will go to the ends of the earth for the people she loves. Cancer is such a hard thing to go through, and worrying about how to pay for treatments should be the last thing on Michelle's mind.
