Michelle Treat Memorial Fund

Michelle passed peacefully in her sleep, and did not suffer. And for that we are thankful.  Michelle, or Mickey as she’s known by many friends, only had 48 years on this planet, but in those she touched so many lives.  Her Facebook memorial page is filled with memories from friends and family, describing her bubbly personality and loving, positive attitude. During all her health issues, we saw her put her children’s comfort and happiness above her own.  She was generous with her energy and a friend to everyone she met.

Michelle is survived by two sons, Palo (19) and Liam (17).  They are strong, brave, resilient young men. They could use all the support of their community in this unimaginably difficult time.  The funeral home and cremation costs are far more than they can afford.

Have you met these guys?  They’re amazing.

Palo and Liam acted courageously in their mom’s passing as one of Michelle’s friends related:

"Michelle had COPD, a condition that causes severe breathing issues. Michelle experienced a rapid decline within the last few months and the doctors ended up putting her on a third inhaler to help her breathing. But, she wasn't getting the full benefit of them. At the beginning of the week running errands, she was really struggling and was coughing a lot. Friday morning, December 22nd, Michelle had gotten worse so she didn't venture out to pick up a prescription at the doctors, and early afternoon decided to take a nap on the couch. After some time, Palo went downstairs and didn't hear his mom snoring so he checked on her.  He tried to wake her and didn't get a response so he and Liam got her on the floor and proceeded to start CPR. They called 911 and Michelle's lifelong friend John. Michelle passed peacefully in her sleep, and did not suffer."

As family and friends surround Palo and Liam in this difficult time, we ask for your help. A little from everyone Michelle touched over the years would ease the immediate financial strain. Each donation, no matter the size, will touch the hearts of the boys and all of us who are shaken by Michelle’s passing.
The fund will be used to pay funeral home and cremation bills first.  Any remaining funds will go toward related urgent bills.  You might see my name (Jason Page) as part of the Go Fund Me campaign, but the money is going directly to Palo and Liam, administered with help from family.
