So our beautiful Michelle went in to have a pretty simple procedure done at the Maryborough Hospital. What was meant to be a day procedure turned into nothing less than a nightmare. Whilst they were operating on Michelle they nicked a main artery to her heart which obviously resulted in massive amounts of blood loss. They rushed her to Hervey Bay hospital to then have no less than 5 blood infusions.
She almost died.
She was in intensive care for 3 days and in the surgical ward for another 5. She is now home. Yay!
Needless to say she is very lucky to be alive today.
What was meant to be a recovery time of a couple of days has now turned into around 10 weeks.
As one can imagine a devastating turn of events as this is not only emotionally taxing but extrememely financially hard as well. Michelle has and is always there for everyone and I think it would be really nice to give her a surprise of something I know she would never ask for but would be greatly appreciated. No matter how big or small every cent will count.
