Helping the Huethers

Thank you all so much for the donations, messages of support and prayers over the past week! You have no idea how grateful we are for your outpouring of love for Michelle and our family.

Some of you know that Michelle recently changed jobs. Unfortunately, she hasn’t been there long enough to qualify for disability. This means she will be without a paycheck until she can return to work. We are extremely grateful for anything you can give to help ease their financial burden.

December 30th 2019, Michelle suffered a severe, life threatening brain aneurysm. After a busy day, Michelle arrived home that evening and began to experience extreme pain in her head. Michelle was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Redbud, IL. Once it was discovered she had a brain bleed, she was rushed to a hospital in St. Louis and has received multiple surgeries since; one to stop the bleeding in the brain and another to remove part of the skull to make room for the brain swelling.

Since her last surgery (Thursday, Jan 2nd), Michelle has been in stable condition in the ICU, where she will continue to rest as her brain has time to heal. She receives neuro checks frequently and responds well with the exception of her left side. Bob, her kids, and close relatives have witnessed multiple signs that she still hears and understands us. She opens her eyes, raises her right arm, squeezes hands and has given the thumbs up on command.

Each day is different and presents new challenges- and while this experience is full of worry and heartache, it is also an incredible feeling to know that we are supported by so many kind and compassionate friends and family members.

We set up the Go Fund Me site because so many people have asked how they can help.  Any funds raised will go directly to Michelle’s immediate family.  The funds will be used for medical expenses and to offset the financial burden of Bob and Michelle’s time away from work.  All donations, no matter how small, are deeply appreciated.

Thank you for supporting Michelle, Bob, Dylan, Molly and Jake every day. Love is an incredible force and we are all so grateful to have an army of love behind us in this fight. Please continue to keep Michelle and her family in your prayers.

**When donating via Go Fund Me, the website will ask for a donation amount and will also have a box right below with a tip of 10%.  If you prefer not to add that 10% to your donation, click the drop down menu and select “other” and change the number to 0.
