Michelle was diagnosed earlier this summer with an aggressive form of esophageal/stomach cancer called Adenocarcinoma. Despite overwhelming odds, Michelle's positive spirit, strength, faith and the support of her friends and family got her through the surgery to remove her stomach and part of her esophagus in September.
Just this week on December 18th, 2017, Michelle and her family received some tragic news. The cancer has spread to the lymph nodes by her throat, and the only option left to help extend her life is aggressive Naturopathic, Chemo and Radiation treatment. This will be extremely costly as the Naturopathic treatments are not covered by BC Medical or any extended health plans and the family will need help to cover the expenses.
Those of us who are lucky enough to have Michelle in our lives know just how caring, positive, giving and compassionate she is towards everyone, everyday, despite whatever is going on in her life. Together with her husband and four children, they are always ready to help and lend a hand to whoever is in need. They have a committed and caring presence in the community and the horse world. Michelle and her family have helped people and all kinds of horses, dogs and cats and other critters, even when they had little for themselves.
With Michelle's courageous spirit, faith and amazing ability to stay positive, we are hoping to raise enough funds to give her this chance at winning the fight. Please ... now it's our turn to help this incredible Mother and Family Stay Strong.
