Hello everyone. As most of you know, my mom’s been struggling with rheumatoid arthritis for over twenty years now. Back when she was first diagnosed they told her she’d be confined to a wheelchair within five years. Well she’s battled way longer than that and is still standing tough. However, lately the disease has taken such a toll on her knees and back that she’s beginning to have trouble walking. Apart from a spinal fusion and a full knee replacement, the only real solution doctors have offered is a stem cell treatment to help regenerate tissues in her knee and back. An effective procedure, but only offered in Florida and of course not covered by her insurance. Total costs estimate to be between 15-20k. I just want to try to get to the minimum amount necessary and help my mom enjoy a quality life. It’s a very uncertain and scary time for her; anything given to help is appreciated more than you know.
