Collins Family

On August 1st, two beautiful boys, Pearson and Myles, made a surprising and very early entrance into this world. After an emotional, traumatic emergency c-section, the boys were immediately taken from the small hospital they were born in to Madison to remain in the NICU until their due date in November. Being born at 26 weeks, they were only about 2 pounds each and not able to breathe on their own. They both have had some medical complications but are continuing to grow and get stronger. Their amazing parents, Michele and Joel, have been making the hour-long commute each way from their home to Madison to see their boys every day. Their health insurance plan has an out of pocket maximum of $40,000 which they will easily meet. 

If this hasn't been enough for Michele and Joel, a tornado struck their home on August 27th. They took shelter in the basement and they are physically okay. Their house, however, is a total loss. It suffered holes in the roof from many downed trees, flooding and irreparable damage. They don't yet know what their home owners insurance will cover, but will most likely need to replace much of what was inside of their home.
