Michael's Mission Trip to Zambia

Over the past two years, God has worked in incredible ways in and through my volunteer work with Kwathu Children's Home. When I first visited Kwathu in 2016, I met a family of believers that strove every day to empower families, and ensure a happy and healthy childhood for the children in the parts of their community that were most in need. I also met some incredible children who inspired me and encouraged me through their love for each other, for their house mamas and staff, and for me. Kwathu left a lasting impression on me, and over these past two years, I've worked closely with their advocate in the United States, helping to build them a website (kwathuhome.com ) and spread the word about this awesome ministry. During that period God was also calling one of my teammates on the trip, Rebekah Lowrey to go to Kwathu and serve as a teacher for a year.
God has opened up an opportunity for me to return to Kwathu with a team from May 17th to the 28th. The only obstacle? I need to raise $3000 by the middle to end of April to cover travel expenses. That's a big task! But our God is bigger! Would you consider giving as the Lord leads?
Why should you partner with us? Your gift would not only be a blessing to me, but also to the children and staff at Kwathu, to the teammates going with me, and to my teammate from the last trip, who would be returning home with us after her year-long stay in Zambia. This trip will allow me to sit down with the staff at Kwathu, answer any questions they have about their new website I helped build, and make any final adjustments they ask for. Our team would also help with any other needs around the home, and invest our time in encouraging and ministering to the staff through helping in whatever way they ask. We hope our service will also show Christ's love to the kids at Kwathu and to any volunteers who happen to be there when we are. Our team will also be a great encouragement to our teammate returning to the States, helping make the flight back a little easier. There are so many ways God may use this trip, there's no way I could list them all, but with prayer, giving, and going with patient, flexible, and generous hearts, God can use us to greatly encourage Jeanette, Agrippa, and the other missionaries who work so hard to bring the Gospel to their community in Zambia.
