Let's Help Michael Thru The Hard Times Ahead

Our friend Michael Mcelyea was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer on November 21st of 2020.  He has recently begun a 6 month treatment of chemotherapy and will be adding radiation to the mix in the next few weeks.  At that point they will decide if surgery is an option or not.   

Michael is a single father who is only 46 years old and works in a manufacturing plant along with his daughter who currently resides with him.  Michael's daughter can’t drive so he relies on friends and family to make sure he gets to his appointments and treatments when it is recommended that he does not drive.   

Michael has a long road ahead of him and has already been hospitalized for almost a week.  Michael has already racked up bills of over 37k of which Insurance has covered just 9k.  Insurance will continue to pay some of the financial burden but he has over 25K out of pocket debt already with all the treatments and possible surgery still to come.  Michael is receiving treatment every two weeks with the average cost between 4k and 9k each.

We have created this fund so that all who have the capacity and inclination to help us raise money and to help alleviate the financial burden that will be placed on him to keep his family going during these tough times.  Thank You.
