Michael Kirkwood Cancer Benefit

Dedicated public servant with cancer now needs our help!

Michael Kirkwood has served the public as a police officer and fire fighter in Mt. Pleasant and Gladewater.  Michael is the current fire chief for the Gladewater Fire Department.  In July of 2017, Michael was diagnosed with melanoma (skin cancer).  Since then, he has undergone three surgeries and was recently diagnosed with advanced melanoma.

Michael is currently in the hospital.  He will soon undergo ANOTHER surgery to have ANOTHER tumor removed.  He will then undergo plastic surgery to remove muscle and tissue from his back to be used for a skin graft.

Although Michael currently has medical insurance, he is still responsible for the mounting medical bills not covered by insurance.  Michael has been off of work for over a month and will be off for an extended period of time.

Michael has served his community and now its time to show our appreciation by helping him during his time of need.  Any amount you can donate would greatly be appreciated and would be used towards a good cause.  Prayers also requested!!
