This is the only fundraiser for the estate and memorial of Michael Kinder.
**There will be a remembrance of life Saturday November 11th at 1:00 at the Temple Theater in Tacoma, WA.**
Michael Kinder passed away very unexpectedly on October 31, 2017. As Michael was putting his drum kit away in a storage facility in Tacoma, he started experiencing chest pains and called 911 himself. By the time the squad got there he was unresponsive and live saving measures were attempted, but were not successful.
He was beloved by so many, from friends and bandmates in the Pacific Northwest Music community to the substance abuse addicts that he found help for. Michael was a giving, loving, hilarious man. He touched the lives of so many, whether through the music he played or by being a wonderful friend and family member.
Unfortunately we are in need of assistance, since this was unexpected and unplanned for. We are in need of funds for his cremation and memorial, legal assistance, as well as funds for travel for Kara, his daughter and legal next of kin and for other family members. Kara will be in charge of the funds. Any funds left over will be donated to Musicians Assistance Program, a charity Michael loved that helps musicians struggling with addiction find help.
