Earlier this year Michael and my cousin Courtney found out they were expecting a sweet new bundle to add to their family. They never publicly announced anything as they wanted to wait until they found out the sex of the baby.
On Tuesday November 24th they were scheduled for their 20 week anatomy scan and to find out the gender of the baby. The news that it was a BOY flooded them with excitement, but as soon as the doctor came in, they knew something was terribly wrong. The doctor informed them that there was no longer a heartbeat, and their sweet boy was no longer with them. Devastation has taken over to say the least.
Courtney had to go through the entire process of labor and delivery, and on Wednesday they held their baby boy as long as they possibly could, and decided to name him Michael John Jr. The doctors found that there was a very rare blood clot in the umbilical cord, which quickly cut off the oxygen. There was nothing that could have prevented this from happening.
Courtney is an RN, and Mike is an electrician who work their tails off to give themselves, and their two beautiful daughters a good life. I am starting this go fund me in hopes to raise some money for them so they can take the time to process their loss, and not have to go back to work for a few weeks. I know with these hard times and holiday's coming up, money is tight for all of us, but ANYTHING will help this sweet family.
They will be laying their sweet baby to rest with immediate family on November 28th, and I just ask that if you know them, please respect them at this time and do not text or call with any questions. I am happy to answer any questions you may have at this time.
