Michael James Freedom Fund: Justice on Appeal

I come to you with a heavy heart, sharing the unjust story of my son, Michael James Jr. He was convicted and sentenced to life in prison, a victim of the testimony of a corrupt and now disgraced police officer, coupled with a coerced confession obtained under duress. Michael yearns to break free from the chains of this miscarriage of justice and reclaim the life he once envisioned – a life full of promise before this tragic ordeal unfolded.

Michael has always been the rock, the protector of his family and friends. He cherished moments with his young children, spreading love and laughter. However, the years of incarceration have taken a toll on him. He endured the heart-wrenching loss of his father, both grandfathers, two uncles, his favorite aunt, and cousins. Amidst the hardship, Michael has also become a grandfather.

Our family, who has stood by Michael's side for the past two decades, is now seeking justice for him. We aim not only to bring freedom to Michael but also to restore completeness to a family that has endured immense loss.
