My name is Michael E. Hawk. I am 46 Years old. I recently just got married to the love of my life Barbie Peters, June 24th 2017.
Three weeks ago, after coming home from our honeymoon, i started having bad body pains and high blood pressure. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer and it has spread to my Liver. The Doctors at CCI in Rapid City, SD said i have 4-6 months to live. Since then, we have been seeking additional information and help and now we have an appointment at Rocky Mountain Cancer Institute in Colorado Springs, C.O. August 31st, 2017 to try Cancer Immunotherapy which has a higher success rate for quality and quanity of living a longer life. The Immunotherapy is not a treatment that is offered here at the CCI in Rapid City, S.D. so this leaves us to travel back and forth from Rapid City to Colorado Springs. We are having to pay not only for the treatments out of pocket but also the gas, food and lodging. As we all know, the travel, food and lodging alone is not cheap so that is why we are asking for help.
Unfortunately, My wife is also suffering from Cancer and other health issues which has left her fully disabled and handicapped. Its a double whammy for sure as we were already struggling to care for her physically and financially.
We are asking for any kind of financial help that can be spared and we are also asking for prayers for both us as we are praying for everyone else as well. Life is worth living every second.
