My dear friends, as most of you know, on June 14, 2020, my brother, Mike Flood, had a very bad rock climbing accident.  After multiple bone breaks, a punctured lung, a necrotic bowel, kidney failure, liver failure, five months in three different hospitals and so on, it’s a miracle he’s alive.  He’s been home since November 17, 2020 and is doing fairly well but he still has a myriad of health issues related to his accident.  One of those issues is his right foot, which became necrotic while he was in the hospital.  When it was time for Mike to leave the hospital, I was instructed on how to care for his wounds and the hospital sent him home with a badly damaged foot (I will not describe the damage).  Mike gets wound care daily and, once a week, he sees a surgeon for his debridement.  The damage to Mike’s foot is not healing; it’s gotten worse, much worse.  Two weeks ago, during one of his debridement appointments, the surgeon and Mike discussed Mike’s options.  Option one:  The surgeon could TRY to surgically repair his foot but the foot would never be functional.  Option two:  Amputation, from mid-calf down, and get fitted with a prosthesis.  Mike has decided that he would rather walk with a prosthesis than have a non-functioning foot.  His surgery is scheduled for February 11, 2021.  Once again, Mike needs your healing prayers, healing light and healing vibes.  I posted this GoFundMe fundraiser on Facebook a while ago, with different text, to help Mike pay for his living expenses and medical bills (which are now snowballing).  Today, I am reposting the fundraiser.  All of you who have already donated, I am very grateful to you.
