<div>My brother Michael was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a cancerous brain tumour 4 weeks ago.

<div>Despite a valiant fight Michael passed away on Valentine’s Day at 7pm.

<div>Michael worked as a press photographer at the Age newspaper for 30 years until he was forced into retirement. He was the rock in our family. He tended to the needs of our Mother after she had a stroke. He’s supported and encouraged me in my musical career. He’s been a constant in the lives of his nephews and nieces.
</div>
<div>Michael was enigmatic. He didn’t let many people close to him but those who were allowed in found a beautiful, complex, passionate and compassionate friend. He could be hilarious and vexing, staid yet unpredictable. Contrary in many ways. Always ready to help. Michael was a talented artist and the best brother ever.
</div>
