Michael Chamblee The Artist's Final Expenses

My father was an extraordinary artist and avid listener of Jazz! Anyone that knew him will tell you that my father was a wise and graceful soul. Unfortunately on 2/06/2022 Covid-19 would claim his beautiful soul and leave a whole circle of family and friends devastated.

In January my father, who never had a sickness in his life, suddenly contracted COVID-19, which quickly progressed and severely damaged his lungs. It all happened so suddenly and before we knew it he was gone. Although he was very ill, Covid could not claim his beautiful spirit, that would shine through no matter what.

My father was a man who led a vibrant life, he loved going to art galleries, putting on his own art shows and dancing at whatever jazz concert he could find. He was supported by a host of talented artists and musicians alike. My father's love for Jazz music would show through his art and eventually he would end up teaching himself how to play the trumpet and later in his life the drums. This all just showed how dedicated and well disciplined he was.

He wasn't only a great artist and friend but also a absolutely wonderful grandfather and father to three children, whom he raised alone. My father would become a widower in 1991 and go on to raise two boys and one girl. He was our patriarch; he gave us a sense of direction in life and whenever we felt lost or defeated he spoke life back into us. He not only did this for his children but also any living soul that came into contact with him. Whenever anyone crossed paths with this great wise soul, he was sure to leave a lasting impression on them. My father was LOVED, RESPECTED AND ADORED by many.

Unfortunately, my father did not prepare for his last days on this earth and did not secure any life insurance for himself. My siblings and I are left to bare the cost of his burial expenses, which has proved to be very costly and worrisome for us. We are left to figure things out on our own but we are also realistic to the fact that we need the help of selfless people who are willing to extend a gracious hand in laying my beloved father to rest peacefully. No matter how big or small any kind gesture would be greatly and deeply appreciated.
