</div>
<div>A group of Mike's friends are doing a sponsored walk on the 7th September 2024 - the Brecon Beacon 10 Peak Challenge, to help the Cawley family after their devastating news and allow them to make memories together with the time they have left.
</div>
<div>The aim of the Brecon Beacons 10 Peak Challenge is to climb the named 10 peaks in under 24 hours. The route is 36 km long and has 1800 meters of ascent and descent.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mike was diagnosed with BRAF gene mutated stage 4 colon cancer that had already spread to the liver and lungs on the 6th June 2023 and more recently to the Thoracic spine.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After a hard year of intensive chemotherapy, spinal radiotherapy and targeted gene therapy unfortunately the cancer has progressed and spread further which has limited his life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Whilst mike had been offered Lonsurf and Bevacizumab drug treatment, which needed to be self-funded and a gofundme was set up to cover the cost.
</div>
<div>Unfortunately they have recently received further devasting news, Mike's liver function markers have deteriorated and they are no longer able to offer him any treatment to extend his time with his family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All funds raised here will be used for the Cawley family to make positive memories with the time they have left together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If there are funds remianing it will help with;
</div>
<ul>
<li>Covering any other associated medical and practical costs related to the condition,
</li>
<li>Contribute to funeral costs,
</li>
<li>Financially supporting the immediate family for the future.
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please donate and support whatever you can to help his family now and when Mike has gone ❤️
