Michael Alig memorial Tree planting

Hello everyone, as some of you may have heard I was originally planning on having a mural painted in Michael’s memory. That idea has been brought down to the ground.It has been difficult to get people to even consider a mural. Community and business owners don’t want them because they claim it breeds graffiti and property values decreasing. I’ve decide to focus on planting a tree in his name and having his ash’s spread at the tree location. I’ve also decided to plant a tree for Angel Melendez. The trees will both be planted on the same day and near each other. They will both be remembered And loved in our memories and in the air we breathe. The cost will be somewhere between 3500 and 5000 per tree plot depending on where the plot s are located and the type of tree. They only plant trees in the fall and spring I’m shooting for the spring. April 29 2023 that would have been Michael’s 57th birthday.

 I have decided on the types of tree. A Kwanzan Cherry tree and a Midnight Schubert Cherry tree. Just as any New Yorker can attest it takes a certain quality and type of person to thrive and grow in New York City. The same goes for a tree .Only a certain kind can grow and thrive in New York City. I’m including images of the trees here for you to view. Thank you everyone for your love and support.
