Years ago someone once asked me, "If you could do anything in the world and money wasn't a factor, what would you do?"
My answer was simple, "I'd help people."
International aid work has been a deep passion of mine for many years but I've always felt the need to have everything lined up just right in order to take the first step. After years of waiting for the "right time" I came to the realization that maybe my mentality has been backwards this whole time. Maybe what's more important than having everything lined up is HAVING FAITH. A faith that God will provide if I just take the first step.
Well, 3 months ago I finally decided to take this leap of faith. I made the decision to walk away from a lucrative career in real estate investing to become a full time volunteer with YWAM (Youth With A Mission). Although it hasn't been the easiest journey, I am humbled to say that the story that's been unfolding ever since has been one of provision and favor.
YWAM is an international missions organization comprised of volunteers relying soley on the support of individual doners like yourself to unite in a common purpose: to know God, and to make Him known.
I will be joining a team called YWAM Ships Kona which exists to reach the most isolated and disadvantaged islands in the Pacific. Using ships to access these villages is not just the best option… it is the only one. We bring hope to the least reached, those who live on the 900 islands without airports. We also have operation locations in Panama, Papua New Guinea, Haiti, Marshal Islands and Cambodia.
