Help Micah get Clipper home!

I have lived in the Philippines for the last six years and Clipper has brought so much joy and love into our lives since we adopted her in 2014. Everyone who meets Clipper immediately falls in love with her kind and sweet demeanor.

 Clipper is a beautiful and fun-loving miniature Schnauzer who has become the first child in my small family. My boyfriend and I adopted her in December 2014. She was in poor health before she became our little baby.  We spent many worried hours at medical and veterinary visits to get her to the healthy and loving dog that she is today.

 I completed my degree in Education at the Universidad de Santa Isabel and will be moving back to the U.S. in late June this year. Our original plan was to leave Clipper in the Philippines in the loving care of her daddy. In a bad turn of events, my boyfriend has recently passed away. I am not ready to go in depth in discussing his death so please do not be offended if I do not return your calls or messages right away. Life continues to move forward even though it is difficult to look ahead. I realized I need to find a way to get Clipper back to the United States so that she can be safe and happy with her momma (i.e. me).  

 Rules and regulations for pets to be transported from the Philippines to the United States are extensive.  The length of the flight does not allow me to carry her on the plane. The best option we have found is for her to be transported by cargo plane to the United States but is very expensive. The cost of the cargo plane is estimated to be $1,600 which includes the transportation and proper documents. It does not include the vaccinations and imprinted microchip which is another $100.  

 I will deeply miss my home in the Philippines and my Filipino family and friends who have supported and loved this “Americana”. I look forward to seeing loved ones and friends in the United States soon with my little baby, Clipper.  I would deeply appreciate any donation or contribution big or small to help with the cost of bringing Clipper to her new home.
