I'm a student studying to be an author and a Counseling Psychologist. In both of these fields, the more cultural experience I have, the better I will do, and the more people I can help.
I am struggling to save funds to participate in my school's annual trip to Spain, an amazing opportunity that I refuse to pass up just because I need to somehow make several months of extra income to attend.
On this trip, I will be able to cap off my independent studies of the Spanish language with a month-long immersion experience that is sure to have a profound impact on my day-to-day life. On top of this, I will be able to experience Spanish culture first-hand as well as visit national landmarks.

While I have no intention of giving up the search for second and third jobs,being a university student is mentally and physically draining and I can't guarantee how much I will be able to save on my own. I'm not asking for a free pass, but I am asking for help to take advantage of this amazing opportunity.
In order to accomplish this goal, I've put several options for writing commissions up for rewards. While I don't promise Stephen King-quality output (and who does?) I am a multi-genre writer and prolific blogger whose skills are only going to improve with the writing courses I'll be taking through the duration of this campaign.
Backer Tiers
There is very limited text that I can place on the descriptions, so many things are lumped together. Most of the rewards are based on writing articles of a certain number of words. I will not write your class essays or your work reports for you to pass off as your own, however if you own a business and are asking me to write an advertisement, that is fine. Word count may be substituted for effort in Photoshop or other artistic forms (though I have no guarantee just how good they will be). I ask only for credit for work that is shared, and consideration if you intend to make large amounts of profit off of a story. Please contact me if you have any questions.

The trip will occur either May through June or June through July 2017 (the program dates remain up in the air, presumably to minimize cost, until the month of the trip itself), and will require the funds to be available in February.
Breakdown of funds raised:
• Cost of Program (includes travel and lodging): 71%
• Cost of Day-to-day expenses during absence: 20%
• GoFundMe fees, incidental expenses, passport, and costs incurred by backer rewards: 9%
Successfully raising these funds will make a huge difference in my life. This is an opportunity I never would have had without WCSU and without those gracious enough to take advantage of either my backer rewards or of simply donating. I sincerely thank everybody who participates in this campaign, either by sharing it with your friends or followers or by donating.
Risks
There is little to no risk that the end result will not happen. I have credit lines available that are intended to prevent massive levels of interest that have been keeping me in debt, but can be called on if I do not raise the funds. The only reason why I would not be able to call on these funds to supplement whatever this campaign raises is if First Financial Bank closes down, or if Western Connecticut State University makes this the first year in the past decade not to feature this trip, in which case I will divert all funds to a similar trip offered by the school at a similar time.
There is no risk that any of the writing or blogging rewards will be given out. They may be limited to a certain amount per month (updates will come when this is relevant) but when I have a topic and am beholden to someone I always follow through.
All rewards related to my upcoming novel are, of course, reliant on the fact that I finish this novel. While I am very highly motivated to complete this, anything that prevents me from devoting time to writing will delay this, and neurological injury or bankruptcy might prevent this from being completed. Hopefully, the risk of either of these events occuring is minimal.
Stretch Goals
If we exceed $7,000, I will continue to make these offers available until the time of the trip. Current stretch goals:
• $8,500 - I will attend RangerStop during the year we achieve this goal, including a cosplay of a fan-favorite Power Ranger (already chosen). During this trip, I will take time to visit the city in which my WIP novel is set and incorporate any knowledge I gain into the final product. I will also open new backer reward levels.
