Mias Tracheomalacia battle

I have set up this fund raising page for my 6 year old daughter, Mia, to get the help she needs for her health.

From 4 months old Mia has been in and out of hospital. She often needs help to breathe better and is on lots of medication. Mia misses out on so much like school and playing with friends as she finds it difficult to breathe.

Mia gets respiratory infections easier then most children and has a harder time recovering from them. Any cough or cold she picks up will put her in hospital for a couple of days until they can get her oxygen levels back up and her breathing normal.

She can’t walk far or run around playing with her friends for long. Iv had to buy her a disability pram so we can still take her out for her to enjoy days out etc. She has a bed wedge propping her up at night to help her breath a little easier and air purifier, humidifiers and a SP02monitor. 

We spend many nights up watching her as her airways could collapse at any point and she often stops breathing for a few seconds.

She has had PDA (heart) surgery and has been diagnosed with Tracheomalacia and GERD. An operation can rectify the problem and Mia can them live a normal life. We haven't been able to find any doctors in the UK that know how to deal with Tracheomalacia so we have reached out to a specialist in America.

We are trying to raise money for Mia to have a consultation with this specialist and see what the next steps in helping Mia would be. Mia sees lots of specialist but we always end up at a dead end and they only treat the symptoms at the time of consultation and do not know what to do for the long term. If Mia could see this specialist and they would be able to operate this would make her life so much better and she would no longer struggle to breathe and be able to play like other children do.
